I originally wanted to find a family member myself and do their work in the temple, but I was asked to take a family name to the temple for an endowment by my mom and aunt while family was in town for Hayley's wedding. I figured, that counts!
Someday I would love to learn how to find family members online who need their work done and do it. I just haven't made the time to learn between spending time with my family and doing my Relief Society calling. BUT I had a thought and that thought is that, for now, my children come first. I'm so excited for the day when my kids are grown up and self sufficient so I can sit at home and focus on doing service to others (including for the dead). In the meantime, I'm HAPPY to take names to the temple as they are presented to me!
There is a time for doing that and now is not that time. Now is time for Jackson and Emma, and you are right that they come first at this time in your life. You may think it is really hard to raise kids (and it is for sure) but you won't regret it. I don't.
ReplyDeleteIt's just hard to hear all the things I should be doing and thinking that maybe I'm not doing enough. Raising kids is hard, but we have some really fun times and that makes it worth it right now.
